The APC includes costs for editorial support, typesetting, formatting, hosting the article on the journal's website, and indexing in leading academic databases. General Information on APCs

At IJEMI, we are dedicated to providing fully open-access publication. Once your article is accepted and processed, it will be available to scholars, researchers, and professionals worldwide without paywalls or access restrictions. All articles are published under a Creative Commons (CC BY) license, allowing unlimited use, sharing, and reuse, while always giving proper credit to the original authors.

Article Processing Charge (APC) is a one-time fee that authors must pay after their manuscript has been accepted for publication. The APC helps cover various costs, including:

• Peer review management and administration
• Professional production of articles in PDF and other formats
• Hosting, indexing, and distribution of published papers
• Marketing and outreach to ensure high visibility
• Long-term digital preservation and archiving of your article

We do not charge submission fees, nor do we apply surcharges for article length, the number of figures, or supplementary data. Certain types of content such as Editorials, Book Reviews, and Corrections may be published free of charge.

Journal-Specific APCs

The APC for IJEMI is $56 USD per accepted article. This fee applies to all types of articles, including research papers, reviews, case studies, and short communications. For authors submitting special issues or articles that are part of conference proceedings, additional charges may apply, which will be communicated at the time of submission.

Market-Specific Taxes

Depending on your geographical location, taxes may apply to the APC amount. These taxes may vary by country and are typically added to the final fee at the point of payment. Authors should check their local tax policies or consult their institution or funding bodies for potential tax exemptions.

Extensive English Editing

The APC covers minor English editing by our in-house native speakers to ensure the clarity and readability of your article. However, if your manuscript requires extensive English editing, authors may be required to pay an additional fee for this service. Please note that this fee will be calculated separately and communicated to authors before the publication process begins.

Funding of APCs and Waivers

We understand that some authors may face challenges in covering the APC. As part of our commitment to making high-quality research accessible, we offer APC waivers or discounts in certain cases. These waivers or discounts are available for:

• Authors from low- and middle-income countries (on a case-by-case basis)
• Authors affiliated with institutions participating in our Institutional Open Access Program
• Research funded by institutions, universities, or societies that are partners of Apex Academia Press
• Applications for APC waivers or discounts should be submitted to the managing editor before article submission. The eligibility for waivers is assessed based on the quality of the research article and the author's ability to pay.

Accepted Currencies and Methods of Payment

The APC is payable in USD (United States Dollars). We accept the following payment methods:

• Bank Wire Transfer: Please refer to our Payment Instructions page for bank transfer details. Bank transfers typically take 3-5 business days to process. Authors are responsible for any transaction fees or charges incurred during the transfer.

Invoicing and Payment Confirmation
