Abstract
In today's world, myths have become key sources of moral meaning and social unity. This study explores how myths—once viewed as pre-modern remnants—are being reconfigured and secularized to sustain moral authority in post-secular contexts. By drawing on sociology, philosophy, and comparative religion, it examines how sacred narratives influence identity, ethics, and public discourse across modern institutions, media, and cultural practices. The paper concludes that myths remain essential moral tools connecting symbolic imagination and rational dialogue in pluralistic societies.

Myth, Modernity, Post-secularism, Moral Authority, Sacred Narratives, Cultural Reconfiguration, Secularization, Symbolism, Social Ethics, Narrative Identity.
Conclusion
Sacred stories continue to hold significance in modern societies, not through revival but transformation. They evolve through translation, hybridization, and sacralization of secular values, linking moral imagination and reason. By offering shared frameworks of meaning and ethics, myths sustain social cohesion and moral discourse even amid diversity and modernization.
