For those companies that are looking to upgrade their CSR and sustainability practices, they need to start by aligning these values with organizational values and strategy. Clearly defined goals need to be developed for promoting social justice, environmental mitigation, and good corporate governance. Stakeholder engagement, such as employees and customers, is also crucial in the form of learning from their expectations and aligning CSR activities with their values. Companies will need to harness technology and innovation, too, in order to propel sustainability from clean technology through supply chain excellence. Transparency will be matched by reporting regularly so credibility and responsibility result. There will be long-term value companies can deliver to the world and stakeholders if there is sustainability within business models.
