How to Apply

Before applying, carefully review the membership types offered by IASR. Each membership level comes with specific eligibility criteria, benefits, and responsibilities. You may choose from one of the following membership categories:

  • Editorial Board Membership : Ideal for experienced researchers and scholars who wish to contribute to the academic journal’s editorial and review process.
  • Reviewer Membership : For those who want to participate in the peer review process by providing detailed feedback and evaluation of scholarly articles.
  • Fellow Membership : For highly accomplished professionals who have demonstrated exceptional contributions to their field of study.
  • Senior Membership : For established researchers and professionals who have made notable contributions to research and academia.

Once you have identified the appropriate membership type, the next step is to gather the necessary documents required for the application. Depending on the membership type, you will be asked to submit specific materials that demonstrate your academic and professional qualifications. The general documents required for application are :

  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) : A detailed CV highlighting your academic background, professional experience, research contributions, and publications. Make sure to update your CV with your most recent achievements.
  • Publications List : A list of your most significant research publications, including links to articles or research papers. For some membership types, you may also need to include citation metrics to showcase your academic impact.
  • Statement of Interest : A personal statement that explains why you are applying for the specific membership, how your expertise aligns with the goals of IASR, and what contributions you hope to make. This is particularly important for roles such as Editorial Board or Reviewer.
  • Letters of Recommendation : (for Fellow Membership) – Letters from respected professionals or academics in your field who can vouch for your qualifications, research contributions, and academic reputation. Make sure all the documents you submit are up-to-date and provide a comprehensive view of your academic and professional accomplishments.

Once you have prepared your application documents, you can submit your application through the IASR website. The application process is entirely online, and applicants are required to fill out a detailed form to provide personal information, educational background, and career details.

  • Editorial Board Membership : you will also be asked to provide a brief explanation of your previous editorial experience and how you can contribute to the success of the journal.
  • Reviewer Membership : applicants will need to provide their research interests and expertise in specific subject areas to help the editorial team match them with suitable manuscripts for review.
  • Fellow Membership : applications require additional documentation, such as letters of recommendation from established professionals in your field, and an endorsement by the Membership Committee may also be required. Ensure that you have all the documents prepared in advance to avoid delays in the submission process

After submitting your application, the IASR Membership Committee will review your submission. The committee assesses all applications based on the eligibility criteria for each membership type, considering factors such as academic qualifications, research experience, publication record, and overall contribution to the academic community. For editorial and reviewer roles, applicants will also be assessed based on their experience in peer review and journal management.

The evaluation process typically takes 2–4 weeks, but may take longer depending on the volume of applications. If any additional information or documents are needed, you will be contacted by the IASR team.

Once the Membership Committee has reviewed your application, you will receive an official notification regarding your membership status. If you are accepted, you will be sent a formal invitation to join IASR, along with your membership certificate and any relevant documentation based on your membership type. If your application is for Editorial Board Membership or Reviewer Membership, you will be provided with guidelines on how to proceed with your duties, along with access to the IASR journal systems.

For Fellow Membership, you will be officially recognized as a Fellow of IASR (F.IASR) and will be invited to participate in special events, such as academic conferences, webinars, and roundtable discussions. Senior Members will be provided with an official membership ID and invited to exclusive networking events and mentorship opportunities.

Upon acceptance, your membership will be activated, and you will gain immediate access to all member benefits. These may include :
