Senior Membership

Eligibility Criteria

Senior Membership is aimed at experienced professionals who have established themselves as experts in their respective fields. To qualify, candidates must possess at least a master's degree (Ph.D. preferred) and have a strong track record of research and academic involvement. Senior Members should have published at least two to three articles in reputable international journals or presented research at recognized conferences. A minimum of 50 citations is required to demonstrate their scholarly impact. Candidates must also have at least two years of professional experience after completing their degree, showcasing their ongoing commitment to academic or professional development.

Application Process

The application for Senior Membership requires candidates to submit an updated CV, a list of their most significant publications, and evidence of their involvement in research and scholarly activities. The application is reviewed by the IASR Membership Committee, who assess the candidate’s academic and professional contributions. If the committee finds the applicant meets the qualifications, they will extend an invitation to join as a Senior Member, offering access to various member benefits and participation opportunities.

Responsibilities

Senior Members are expected to actively engage in the activities of the IASR, particularly in the areas of research collaboration, peer review, and knowledge dissemination. They contribute to the journal’s editorial process by reviewing manuscripts and offering insights based on their expertise. Senior Members are also encouraged to participate in IASR conferences, seminars, and workshops, either as speakers, panelists, or attendees. They play a key role in mentoring early-career researchers, helping to guide the next generation of scholars. Furthermore, Senior Members are ambassadors for IASR, promoting its mission and fostering a collaborative research environment.

Code of Conduct

As Senior Members, individuals are expected to adhere to the same high ethical standards as other members of IASR. They must ensure that their conduct is professional and in line with the organization's values, including maintaining confidentiality and acting impartially in all IASR-related matters. Senior Members should also act with integrity when reviewing manuscripts, ensuring that their feedback is constructive, fair, and transparent. Should any conflicts of interest arise, they are obligated to disclose them and refrain from involvement in decisions that may be compromised by such conflicts.

Benefits

Senior Membership provides several valuable benefits, including professional recognition and the opportunity to contribute to the academic community in a meaningful way. Senior Members have access to exclusive events, including networking opportunities with other academics and professionals in their field. They are eligible to serve as reviewers for journals or to contribute to special issues, gaining recognition for their expertise. Moreover, Senior Members often receive priority access to conference invitations, speaker roles, and opportunities to mentor junior researchers.
